Our Story
How New Life began
In January 2005, Pastor Gary and Sharla stepped out in faith to start New Life Church on North Park. Only 16 people gathered that first Sunday, and none of them had ever attended the church before. It was a small beginning, but it was the start of a remarkable work of God.
Over the years, Gary and Sharla have watched the Lord build His church one person at a time. He has brought together people from every walk of life into a loving church family, centered on the truth of God’s Word.
Their desire has always been simple: to exalt Jesus Christ, faithfully teach the Bible, and help people experience the new life found only in Him.

What We Believe
Our core beliefs
These are the truths that anchor everything we do at New Life.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. It is our final authority for faith and life, and it is as living and relevant today as when it was written. (2 Timothy 3:16–17)
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and is coming again. (John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit lives in every believer to guide, comfort, and transform us. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit and that His gifts are active today, empowering us to worship, serve, and share the gospel with boldness. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4; 1 Corinthians 12)
God
We believe in one true God who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, perfect in love, holiness, and power. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)
Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Everyone who turns from sin and trusts in Him is forgiven, made new, and given eternal life. (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9)
The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, a family of believers called to worship God, grow in faith, and make disciples of all nations. We practice water baptism as a public declaration of faith, and communion in remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. (Matthew 28:19–20; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
